Was told about this course from the bar man in Rosclea Golf Club. We didn't have clubs as we had travelled from Australia and were told that Birr Golf Club had hire clubs so we made our way there. What a treat! This is a beautiful, challenging course. Special shout out to Francie who was such a pleasure to talk to. Excellent pro shop too with everything and more that you could need!

Very pleasant day at Birr golf club. The staff made you feel genuinely welcome. The course is well maintained with some lovely views . Well worth a visit if you’re looking for a good test without being overly difficult. A real old fashioned course that has something for everyone. Will definitely be back there soon.

Birr Golf Club is located just outside the heritage town of Birr in County Offaly, approximately 35 minutes from Tullamore, with free on-site parking
Everything You Need to Know Before Your Group Golf Enquiry
What is the minimum society group size?
The minimum number of golfers to qualify for our society packages is 12. If your group is smaller than this, you will be quoted the standard visitor green fee rates.
When are society bookings available?
We accept society bookings seven days a week. There are no restrictions Monday - Friday. On weekends golf societies may tee off after 10:30am.
What deposit and payment terms apply?
A 10% deposit is required to secure your booking. Final numbers, food options and payment will be due 7 days before your playing date.
How much does it cost for a golf society?
Society packages start from €35 per person. We have a host of other packages available which also include food options.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements and buggies?
All dietary requirements can be met. Please let us know at the time of booking and then when confirming your food options in advance. Buggies are also available but must be booked before your play date.
